Catherine Hohl-Chirazi / Partner

Catherine HOHL-CHIRAZI was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1998.

After having worked for ten years in the law firm BONNANT & WARLUZEL, in 2007 she founded CHIRAZI & CORMINBOEUF HARARI, with Corinne CORMINBOEUF HARARI. In 2015, their law firm merged with LHA AVOCATS whose they are partners since then.

Since 2011, in parallel with her activity as a lawyer, Catherine HOHL-CHIRAZI taught at the Law School of the University of Geneva in criminal law and then at the Geneva Lawyer School (ECAV) where she co-leads the criminal procedure workshop. In addition, she was also active as a deputy judge in the Administrative Chamber of the Geneva Court of Justice, from 2010 to 2014. In 2016, she presented her thesis: « La privation de liberté en procédure pénale suisse : buts et limites », and was awarded by the Law School of the University of Geneva the degree of Doctor of Laws with mention magna cum laude. Her thesis was published the same year in the Geneva Collection by Schulthess Editions Romandes.

Since 1999, she is a member of the Criminal Law Commission of the Geneva Bar. From 2017, she is one of the three moderators of its Forum specialized in criminal law. In addition, she participates to the Human Right Commission and to the ADR Commission.
She is a member of AIJA and joined UIA in 2017.

Catherine HOHL-CHIRAZI’s practice focuses on criminal law, white collar crime, administrative law, litigation and disputes resolution.

Her working languages are French, English and Italian.
